Ghana and Liberia pawn off!
The Ghana Chess Association (GCA) played a match last February 19th against Liberia in an international friendly in Accra. According to the press release, the match was a prelude to the Association’s aim to organize its National Open Championship. The friendly, which is in collaboration with the National Sports Council, (NSC) will be categorized into two divisions; international and local opens. Each game in the match will allot each player with 45 minutes. Update to follow soon.
Kwadwo Bonsu has informed me that Liberia won the match 10-7. I was surprised to hear this.
