The Chess Drum’s Highlights of 2012!
The year of 2012 was supposed to be a magical year with all the Mayan calendar prophesies and such. In the year of the Olympics, a World Championship match, the Chess Olympiad and Kasparov’s record falling, there was quite a bit happening in the chess world. The Chess Drum was able to capture the news to the tune of 215 news stories. As is tradition, we will recount some of the memories covered at The Chess Drum this year and hope that there will be an exciting 2013!
