Kasparov campaigns in Nigeria

Please find below update on Garry Kasparov and the KCF’S visit to Nigeria.
The team will arrive Abuja on the evening of Tursday, 30 January, 2014. They’re expected to meet the board of the NCF on the evening of Thursday 30 January at the Hilton Hotel Abuja.
On Friday, 31 January, the combined team of the KCF-AFRICA and the NCF board will visit the Hon. Minister and Chairman, National Sports Commission, The Honourable Minister of Education and the Executive Secretary, Universal Basic Education.
The team would be hosted later in the evening by Uche Orji, Managing Director/CEO, Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority in Abuja.
The team departs for Lagos later in the evening.
On 1 February, they would be hosted by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, by 11am. Afterwards, the team would meet with stakeholders in the Nigeria Chess parlance, have a press briefing and also meet with various corporate organisations eg Nigeria Breweries PLC, the longest corporate sponsor of the Nigeria Chess Federation.
The Presidents of Federation’s of neighbouring countries of Ghana, Togo, Central African Republic, Gabon and Sierra Leone would also be in attendance. The team is expected to depart in the afternoon of 2 February, 2014.
The exact times of the various meetings would be circulated as soon as they’re confirmed.
