GM Carlsson invites you to Charity Chess Event

GM Pontus Carlsson invited The Chess Drum community to participate in his Zero Requiem charity event to benefit the development of chess in Africa. In his ongoing Business Meets Chess & Kids initiative, he involves celebrities, business executive and chess enthusiasts to enjoy chess and meet “chess kids” who have developed a joy for the game. Carlsson has been holding events since 2018 and has invited many chess and media celebrities. Following was the press release of the charity event…

Here comes your invitation to the big Charity Chess Tournament on February 16th (11.30am – 02.30pm US Eastern Time) in favor of the children engaged in our programs.

The starting fee is a donation and the participants will be a great mix between children engaged in our programs, and supporters from the whole world. The event will be broadcasted on Chess.com TV and https://www.twitch.tv/Chess2Change and GM Maurice Ashley with guests will be doing the commentaries.
