Egypt's 14-year old Ahmed Adly has clinched the African Junior crown after scoring a perfect 9-0! With this victory, he also wins the International Master title and a GM norm. Adly was followed by local player Daniel Jere of Zambia with 6½ points, Bassem Amin of Egypt with 6 points, and Dion Moyo of Zimbabwe with 5½ points. The future bodes well for Zambia as three of their participants had plus scores. Along with Jere's 2nd place finish, Costa Bunda and Chitumbo Mwali each had 5 points.
