FM Leonard Johnson wins Minnesota Open!

FM Leonard Johnson won the Minnesota Open which included wins over top seed IM Victor Adler and top Minnesota Junior NM John Bartholomew (who took 3rd). 

Twenty-seven players took part in the Premier section (over 200 overall) and the Minneapolis-based FM was seeded second. His victory qualifies him for the Closed Championship in April.

FM Johnson has not played in many of the larger national events, but played in the
2002 Governor's Cup in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and toppled GM Alek Wojtkiewicz enroute to a 3-2 score and a performance of 2419.
