The Botswana Chess Federation, under the auspices of the World Chess Federation (FIDE), invites African Chess Federations who are FIDE members to participate in this year's African Junior Chess Championships. This event will be held in GABORONE, Botswana over the period 15th to 30th December 2006.

As with previous editions, this year's event will be held following FIDE Rules and Regulations. In this regard, members who are currently on suspension (for whatever reasons) will not be eligible to participate. 

We attach some details that you might find useful as well as registration forms. It will be appreciated if federations indicate their intention to participate in time to allow for the necessary logistical arrangements.
