Chicago Sun-Times ran a nice article on scholastic star Kayin Barclay. For those who have followed scholastic chess in the U.S. may have seen the 16-year old evolve since his days at Beasley Elementary. The article stated that Barclay stated at age eight during after-school with Thomas Fineberg, a legendary chess coach in Chicago. Since then he has made a name leading his school Whitney Young to at state title and has won the Illinois Denker tournament two years running.
