This is the Olympiad press room. It is where I'd spend countless hours in the last few days of the tournament. The smoke in this room was definitely oxygen-depleting!

Sitting across from me was the ChessBase team. Here is the brainchild, Frederic Friedel (left) showing Ukraine's Ruslan Ponomariov new software features. Ponomariov perhaps spent too much time hanging out in the press room.

The Honorable Carlos Delgado, the mayor of Calvià accompanied by Juan Fernandez, mayor of Linares.
